MadC: Street to Canvas is the first monograph on world-renowned contemporary artist and muralist MadC (Claudia Walde), whose practice moves dynamically between the street and the studio, seeking to capture the energy of painting and test the limits of its possibilities.
For more than two decades - from her beginnings in the 1990s as a graffiti artist in the local scene of Bautzen in East Germany to large-scale public murals on an international scale - MadC has captivated audiences worldwide with her distinctive style. It is characterized by abstract compositions of bold, curved lines and transparent layers of vibrant colors.
Author and curator Luisa Heese traces the artist's career and explores MadC's immense body of work at locations in more than 35 countries. Over 200 artworks and personal photographs illustrate the book, showing her unique use of color and the spontaneous movement of lines created by spray cans and brushstrokes.
From the street to the big screen, MadC adorns every surface with a vibrancy that transcends cultural barriers. In her work, which traverses private and public spaces, the lines between street art and fine art are constantly blurred. In doing so, it becomes clear that art can be an inclusive and universal language that connects and inspires people and communities around the world.

Please place your order by 1pm to allow us time to prepare your order for dispatch at 3pm, and choose an appropriate shipping method at checkout (estimated delivery dates will be displayed at this point - you may need to choose the express shipping option).
Orders which are received after 1pm and outside of working hours cannot be dispatched until the next working day.
Returns:
You can return any unused items for a full refund of the item price within 14 days of receiving the item. Upon receipt, a refund will be issued within 48 hours.
After 14 days, if the item/s are not faulty or sent in error and you wish to return / exchange them, there will be a 5% restocking fee.
If more than 30 days have passed since your order was received then the items can no longer be returned to us.
These terms do not apply to DVDs where the outermost seal/wrapping has been broken and do not apply to books or magazines.
